I understand the challenges you face as an educator. As a parent of 4 children and from my early beginnings as a naptime teacher to working as child development specialist  for the Department of Children and Family Services to working as a mental health consultant, I've dealt with some incredibly tough behaviors and complex family dynamics. It's easy to feel overwhelmed by the weight of this responsibility and underappreciated, but I want you to know there is a better way.

With experience since 1990 as a teacher, neuro-developmental specialist, and coach, I founded Simple Solutions Educational Services and have developed practical and research-backed techniques that anyone can use to manage challenging behaviors and create supportive environments where every child can thrive.

My educational journey began with a B.A. in English and secondary education, an M.S. in early childhood development, and a Doctorate in Education focusing on assessment and response to intervention. My research explores brain-based learning and its correlation to preschoolers' aggressive behaviors. From this research and real-life experience, the Push Past It framework was born and I've guided thousands through the intricacies of this profession with a real, raw and humorous approach.

I gained specialized training in neuroscience, child and adult behavior change.
I hold teacher certification for grades 6-12, a developmental therapy credential, an Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Certificate and have since authored 2 books: "Push Past It! A Positive Approach to Challenging Classroom Behaviors" and "Elevating Equity: Advice for Navigating Challenging Conversations in Early Childhood Education.". Currently, I serve as an adjunct faculty member at Erikson Institute, a Master Cadre Pyramid Model Trainer, professional development provider, CLASS Pre-K Affiliate Trainer,  Ambassador for Moonin Language School in Finland  and personally I am a mom of four adult children and a grand dog

what educators Say From Around The Globe

#highly recommend! | #I know I will use this | #very relatable | #rare gem for early childhood | #love this training!

Angela was amazing! She gave so much great information and resources to take back and use immediately! Highly recommend this training to anyone who works with younger children!

—  Kindergarten Teacher,
Arbor Station Elementary

This was probably one of the most informative workshops I’ve ever been to. The speaker was knowledgeable and the information was practical and applicable which is a rare gem in early childhood. I cannot count the amount of conferences I’ve been to geared towards older children that I will never use. I know I will use this. Also the resources are wonderful. Overall I’m very impressed.

—  Kindergarten Teacher, Southgate Elementary
Presenter was organized and humorous. She made the content very relatable to what we have been dealing with in our classrooms. We left the training with multiple resources and strategies to help with challenging behaviors.

- Preschool Instructional Coach, West Deptford Preschool
I loved this workshop! Miss Angela made all
of the learning exciting and realistic. I would highly recommend this workshop
to ANY educator—it’s beneficial to everyone.

—  Paraprofessional, Watonga Elementary School
Love this training. Wish everyone who works with children took this course. Thank you for relighting this for me.
